Transfer your iCloud Photos to Google Drive, in one move.

A one-time migration of your library, done the way a sync would do it: album by album, original files, on our servers rather than your laptop. AlbumFlow copies everything across, then either keeps the copy current or stops when you cancel; the files stay yours either way.

Why not download and re-upload by hand?

iCloud.com lets you select at most a few hundred items per download, zips over 2 GB fail more often than not, and album structure is lost in the process. The Mac Photos app can export originals, but it needs the full library downloaded locally first, which for most people means more free disk than they have. Either way you babysit it for a weekend.

A cloud-to-cloud transfer skips all of it. Nothing touches your devices, albums arrive as folders, and an interruption costs nothing because the next run resumes where it stopped.

The transfer, step by step

  • Create an account; the first 7 days are free, no card.
  • Connect iCloud (Apple ID plus the verification code on your iPhone) and Google Drive (one click).
  • Create a sync with “Everything” selected and a destination folder. Press Sync now.
  • Watch the ledger in the dashboard: each album, each file, each upload. Large videos stream straight through.
  • When it reports every album at 100%, the transfer is complete. Keep the sync running to catch new photos, or cancel.

What you end up with in Drive

One folder of your choosing, containing a sub-folder per iCloud album with the same name, each holding the original files with their original names and capture dates. HEIC stays HEIC, HEVC stays HEVC, Live Photos arrive as the still plus the short video. Google Drive previews all of it in the browser and shares it with a link.

After the transfer

Most people keep the sync on, so the Drive copy stays current. If the goal was to leave iCloud, check the album counts in the dashboard against the Photos app, then reduce or cancel your iCloud storage. Nothing in iCloud is ever deleted by AlbumFlow; that part stays in your hands. See ongoing iCloud to Google Drive sync for how the standing copy works.

Questions

It depends on library size and Apple download speeds. A few thousand photos usually finish in an hour or two; a large video library can take most of a day. It runs on our servers, so you can close everything and check the dashboard later.

No. The transfer runs cloud to cloud. Nothing is downloaded to your devices and nothing is kept on our servers beyond the seconds each file takes to pass through.

Copy. Your iCloud library is untouched. Once the Drive copy is complete you can delete from iCloud yourself if that is the goal.

Yes. Choose "Only some albums" and name them, or use a pattern like "2024 - *" to pick a whole year of albums at once.

Every run compares the two sides before copying, so the next run simply picks up what is still missing. Nothing is uploaded twice.
